Samsung Announces New Entry-level Handsets

With the global economic crisis, it only makes sense that Samsung also churns out some entry-level handsets, after all, not everybody will be able to afford those hi-tech handsets. With this in mind, Samsung is rolling out the E1410 and E1117 candybar phones. There isn’t a date on when these phones will be released just yet, but when they are, they shouldn’t top $100 with a contract. Features of these phones include:

Samsung E1410

• 1.63″ CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels and 65K colors
• 4MB internal memory
• 108mm x 46mm x 15.3 mm

Samsung E1117

• Dual band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) with EDGE
• 1.63″ CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels and 65K colors
• FM radio
• 900Kb internal memory
• 79 grams
• 106.4mm x 45mm x 15.4 mm
