Nokia Completes Symbian Acquisition Deal

Nokia has just announced that it has completed its offer to acquire Symbian Limited, as all the conditions have been satisfied and Nokia has received valid acceptance of greater than 99.9% of the total Symbian shares that it didn’t already own. Due to this acquisition, all Symbian employees will become Nokia employees on February 1st 2009. It looks like the establishment of the Symbian Foundation, which was announced on June 24th, 2008 is coming along nicely.
