Russian iPhone Scam

Published

on

If you’re in Russia and somebody tries to flog an iPhone off to you for real cheap, you might want to be careful. Apparently there are iPhone scams going there where they trick users into buying iPhones on the cheap, and when users ask to test the phone, it manages to “boot up” by showing the Apple logo on the phone, but can’t finish booting up due to the lack of battery power, so all you’ll need to do is go home and charge it. In reality, the phone is just the shell of the iPhone with a weight inside the phone to make it feel solid, and the “boot up screen” is just a light bulb lighting up the Apple logo.
