BlackBerry Bold To Get Special Keyboard

It’s nice to see that RIM isn’t trying to alienate its Chinese fans, as RIM will be releasing the BlackBerry Bold in Taiwan via Taiwan Mobile, complete with a special “hybrid QWERTY-BoPoMoFo” keyboard which is tailored for Chinese input. Though the keyboard sounds like some kind of badly-typed expletive, it will have Chinese characters in orange color at the bottom right side of the keys. Supported languages include Simplified Chinese with Pinyin, CangJie and WuBiHua, Traditional Chinese with Jyutping and CangJie. Will RIM be able to dominate the Taiwanese phone market? It certainly looks like RIM is trying to do so. The phone should be going for about $662 as a standalone phone.
