iPhone To Eliminate The Need For Physical Membership Cards?

Almost everybody has at least a couple of cards in their wallet, normally credit cards and membership cards of sorts. Somebody has found an interesting method of eliminating at least some of those cards.

This person scanned all his cards, front and back and uploaded them into a separate album within iPhoto, resulting in an accurate depiction of the membership cards’ barcodes on the iPhone’s lovely display.

And it gets even better! Apparently the barcodes can be scanned directly from the iPhone’s screen without any problems! For people who don’t have the iPhone, have fun trying it out on your phone. It should work as well, though whether the barcodes will be able to be scanned using a barcode reader may be another matter. Do drop a comment letting us know if you try this out!
