Can you boost your iPhone signal with scotch tape?

Published

on

Apparently, you can. It seems as though a loose SIM card housing, causing insignificant contact between the device and the SIM card, could be a serious issue for some iPhone users. This problem can be solved with a number of different solutions, including MacGuyver-type strategies featuring paper clips and what ever else you might have laying around.

One method which is supposed to work the best is placing a piece of scotch tape on the SIM card to physically hold it tighter in its housing. This is said to greatly increase the signal strength, despite its apparent simplicity. We’re not too sure if this works or not, seeing as the AT&T SIM card is digital, and not really “slightly connected” at any given time.
