Cricket launches Kyocera Lingo
Cricket aims to give Verizon’s enV a run for its money by launching the Kyocera Lingo. The Lingo comes in a candy bar form factor complete with a number pad, but it can slide open sideways to reveal a secondary display and a QWERTY keyboard for fast text messaging. This device leans more toward the SMS crowd, and Cricket’s standard unlimited messaging plan certainly goes a long way in hammering this fact home. Features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and Web access. It will be available in a copper color, retailing for $180 after a rebate – no idea on whether that involves a contract or not.
