Sharp has decided that it is time to mature the WillCOM W-ZERO 3 smartphone further by throwing in some new refinements, where the handset will now be known as the W-ZERO 3 Advance. What you get is a slimmer form factor at 17.9mm and a spanking new 3″ LCD display at 480 x 800 resolution. Some people might think this looks like the HTC Vox, and they aren’t too far from the truth. The W-ZERO 3 Advance runs on Windows Mobile Classic and comes with a numeric keypad, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and a mini USB port for you to hook up external GPS or Bluetooth modules if you wish. Pricing and availability details are unknown.
