Local Iranian phones coming

While Iran might be involved in a nuclear standoff at the moment, they have certainly kept themselves busy by developing cellphones that will hit retail stores this June. These handsets will be sold under the ITMC brand name and will be manufactured by several unnamed South Korean firms. This move bodes well for the locals since Iran raised tariffs on cellphone imports by a maximum of 60%, making it impossible for the average Iranian to import a cellphone. Skype, anyone?
