Alcatel OT-C635a makes a splash

The Alcatel OT-C635a is an entry-level clamshell cellphone that bears more weight in terms of design than technology. You don’t even get a 1.3 megapixel with this as the best it can do is take VGA pictures. Features include a 65k color CSTN LCD display at 128 x 160 pixels, support for Javai MIDO 2.0 applications, and a cool red backlighted keypad. Since it is compatible with both GSM bands used throughout North America, there is a very good chance of seeing this entry level handset make its way into the U.S. later this year.
