eMobile has entered the Japanese cellphone market, heralding its debut by rolling out a data-only HSDPA service which will begin this March and subsequently grow to include a voice element next year. The Sharp EM ONE will be the only device on offer at this moment, running on Windows Mobile 5.0 and sporting Bluetooth 1.2 and WiFi connectivity, OneSeg digital TV support, a 4.1″ widescreen VGA display, and a sliding keyboard that slides in two directions to reveal either a QWERTY keyboard or directional keys. The service runs at $50 per month. You can pick up the EM ONE as a separate entity for $788 or sell your soul for one or two years ($590 and $330 respectively).
