Motorola ROKR E6 approved by FCC

The first ROKR phone from Motorola was somewhat a disappointment and did not really take off as a digital audio player-cellphone hybrid. A quick look at the upcoming ROKR E6 shows a very strong family resemblance to the RAZR line, including the laser etched keypad. The ROKR E6 will also run on the Linux platform instead of the much maligned Motorola OS. Other features include a touchscreen and stylus as the preferred method of input, a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, an SD memory card slot, and a built-in FM transmitter. With the FCC giving its nod to the ROKR E6, we just know that good times are ahead (theoretically – everybody knows what happened to the ROKR E1).
