Optibase has enabled its IPTV streaming platforms to offer SmartVideo, a mobile video provider that is able to deliver full motion TV to both Verizon and Cingular mobile subscribers in the U.S. Using the Optibase MGW 5100 TV streaming platform, live video is encoded and transmitted via Crawford Communications over a dedicated network where SmartVideo then decodes the data with the end result that is fit for consumer viewing. This development will probably bring the world of free mobile TV a step forward.
