Nokia 6780 uses pure stylus input

Published

The Nokia 6708 is the first UIQ touch screen device from Nokia. You now cannot text while driving as the writing is the only mode of input. Unfortunately, Nokia has done away with the ability to input text via an on-screen version of the keypad. Perhaps it is a move to delibrately force users to get used to using the stylus alone as a pure mode of interaction. This is rather user-unfriendly as it makes navigation all the harder without one-touch access that buttons provide. Not only that, it is impossible to use with just one hand and comes with inadequate internal memory, a laggy response, and a short battery life. The 6708 comes with a proprietary charger, so you’ll have to be extra careful with it since replacements will be hard to come by.
