Novatel Wireless ExpressCards offer compact, hi-speed solution

Novatel Wireless has unveiled the industry’s first EV-DO and HSDPA 3G external PCI ExpressCards/34. Also know as external ExpressCards, this development will soon enable subscribers to access EV-DO networks at blindingly fast speeds of up to 2.4Mbps, while its HSDPA counterpart can reach speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. Both cards are backwards compatible with CDMA 1X and WCDMA networks, ensuring an uninterrupted connection when you are not within the 3G coverage vicinity. The future of ExpressCards is bright with over 50 major laptop manufacturers pledging to offer external ExpressCard slots in their upcoming offerings.
