Linksys’ new $199 Wireless-G Router (WRT54G3G-NA) was designed to utilize backhaul from cellular networks such as Sprint Power Vision’s (EV-DO) network in place of DSL or cable modems. The WRT54G3G-NAcan support up to five WiFi users to share a single cellular link simultaneously. The WRT54G3G-NA can be used as a standard wireless router when there is no mobile connection data card available. Kyocera’s $200 KR-1 WiFi router offers EV-DO support, although these products are not encouraged by U.S wireless carriers such as Verizon.
