French begin testing in-flight cellphone use

Air France will run a 6-month test in 2007 that enables passengers to use cellphones while in flight. These tests will not compromise on safety, as only messaging and email will be allowed on specially equipped OnAir-enabled Airbus planes. Be prepared to fill up survey forms if you happen to be on such a flight. Looks like the sanctity of the aircraft cabin has fallen to the incessant jabbering of unregulated cellphone usage.
