Samsung Omnia HD To Get Windows Mobile?
Posted on: Posted on March 17, 2009 9:56 AM
There isn’t any official word on this yet, but speculation coming from the Samsung presentation to dealers over in Amsterdam is that the Samsung Omnia HD will be running Windows Mobile 6.5. While it was recently reported (to great disappointment to fans of Windows Mobile) that the device will be running Symbian, pictures of what is supposedly the Samsung Omnia HD running Windows Mobile 6.5 have appeared, so maybe there is hope. Of course, nothing is written in stone just yet, but we’ll keep an eye on this and keep you posted as things develop.

Samsung Omnia HD

While Samsung’s Omnia HD has an 8-megapixel camera which is already challenging some compact camera’s of today (in terms of megapixel count), it looks like the device is also aiming to take on camcorders as well. This is due to the phone being able to shoot 1280 x 720 video at 24fps, which is no small feat, and you’ll be able to play all that on your HDTV from the Omnia HD. The phone will have a 3.7-inch display, HSUPA, GPS, Bluetooth and 8 or 16GB or storage, coupled with a microSDHC card slot.
