Sprint HTC Snap

With the recent deluge of iPhone and Palm Pre news, it’s not too surprising that many of you have forgotten about some of the devices from HTC, one of them which is the HTC Snap. It seems that the device will be dubbed the HTC Snap S511, and Sprint is reportedly testing the device, indicating that it might be launched by mid-Summer. Of course, there is no confirmation of such a timeline, but keep your fingers crossed, and who knows, maybe we’ll see the phone released real soon.
T-Mobile To Get HTC Snap And Touch Pro2

TmoNews is reported to have the tentative release dates for T-Mobile’s upcoming summer devices. The most notable devices in the list will have to be the HTC Snap and the HTC Touch Pro2. If the dates are accurate, you can expect to see the HTC Snap released on the 1st of July and the HTC Touch Pro2 on July 22nd. Considering those dates aren’t too far off, we certainly hope that these rumored dates are accurate.

HTC Snap Introduced

HTC has lifted the lid on its latest QWERTY smartphone, the HTC Snap. This 12mm slim device will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, and is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2009. An unlocked version of the device supporting HSDPA at 850/1900MHz in the US will be made available under the name HTC S522 during the summer. Features of the HTC Snap include:
- 528MHz Qualcomm processor
- 2.0 megapixel camera
- 256MB ROM, 192MB RAM
- GPS and AGPS
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- 2.4-inch display
- microSDHC card expansion
