Most official pictures of the device are in white, but (not) surprisingly, the video of the device being unboxed shows a black colored HTC Magic. Accessories that have been bundled are rather sparse, with just a USB cable, power adapter, wired headset and a case that according to the video, “feels pretty cheap”.

The T-Mobile G2, which is the HTC Magic, will sport the 1700MHz band of HSPA, not to mention the 2100MHz band for Europe and Asia. While we’re talking connectivity, it also has Wi-Fi with UMA to support Hotspot@Home. Additional good news comes in the form of the camera being bumped from the stock 3.2-megapixels to a 5-megapixel camera. There isn’t an official word as to when the device will be officially released, or even pricing, but it should be fairly safe to say that the device will be heading towards a US release some time soon.

Vodafone HTC Magic
Posted on: Posted on February 16, 2009 9:04 AM

Pictures of the HTC Magic have surfaced online, in case you forgot, it was previously dubbed the G2. Judging by the lack of a physical keyboard, it looks like users will be getting that Cupcake update that we’ve been talking about for so long now. Features of the Magic should include HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It will be interesting to see how this device performs when it’s finally released, and the lack of a physical keyboard will surely be an interesting talking point.
