Verizon Ellipsis 8 Tablet In The Works

Published

on

verizonwirelesslogoVerizon might be a mobile carrier in their very own right, but this does not mean that they do not have any vested interest in rolling out hardware of their own. No sir, we do know that Verizon did offer their very own tablet that was branded as the Ellipsis 7 last year, and based on the number of the model alone, this proved to be a decent 7” model, although it will never see massive sales figures, that is for sure. Word has it that Verizon is looking to roll out a sequel to the Ellipsis 7 tablet, where it will most probably be known as the Ellipsis 8 – and with that, it would translate to an 8” tablet.

There have been some whispers concerning this unique tablet’s appearance and its hardware specifications, where it looks set to come with a $249.99 price point, alongside an 8” display at 1280 x 800 resolution, which is a similar resolution count as the former – which means the pixel density would have dropped then. Apart from that, there will be a 5,000mAh battery that keeps it going, accompanied by a 5MP shooter on board, and a quad-core 1.5GHz processor that keeps the tablet going. It ought to launch in time for the holiday season though.

ellipsis10It looks like the folks over at Verizon have stepped up to the plate by offering a brand new tablet for the masses which will follow up from their 2013 offering, which was the 7” Ellipsis. This time around, the tablet on offering would be known as the Ellipsis 10, and based on the name alone, it is rather obvious that this is a 10” device.

It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop however, so forget about Marshmallow at the moment. It will also be accompanied by the likes of 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, where it sports a 5MP camera at the back, with a 2MP front-facing shooter, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, “angular firing stereo speakers”, 16GB of internal memory, 4G LTE connectivity and a beefy 9,100 mAh battery. It will retail for $199.99 a pop with a new two-year contract, or you can pick it up or $299.99 all-in. [Press Release]

Published

on

lg-g3-lollipopSo, you happen to be a Verizon Wireless subscriber, and own an LG G3 flagship device. If that is the case, then chances are you would have noticed that your device is more or less the last to pick up the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, at least among the other carriers that also offer the handset. Being the biggest doesn’t mean that one is the fastest, but then again, there is always the other adage of “better late than never”, right?

We are pleased to inform Verizon LG G3 owners that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now available for download, although it might take some time for the rollout to be completed across the entire spectrum of their customers, as with any other update rollout, regardless of the mobile carrier.
