LG Optimus L4 And Optimus L4 Dual Spotted

Published

on

lg-optimus-l4I guess you can say that smartphones are pretty much similar in nature to movies, in the sense where sequels are always in store if a particular device does well in the market. Case in point, LG has had their moments in the mid-range and entry level markets with the LG Optimus L3, and I guess those smartphones performed well enough to warrant another attempt at this lucrative middle class market,by offering both the LG Optimus L4 and LG Optimus L4 Dual. Of course, these two are pretty much similar underneath the hood, although from the outside, things are very, very different so that it is easy to tell one apart from the other.

Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean alongside LG’s proprietary skin on top, these two handsets will run on a single-core MediaTek MT6575 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor, where it is aided by a PowerVR SGX531 GPU and 512MB RAM, accompanied by a 3.8-inch True IPS HVGA display, 4GB of internal memory, a 3-megapixel shooter with LED flash, and a 1,700 mAh battery. The Optimus L4 will cost around €135 when launched, while the Dual SIM version should be €10 more expensive. Regardless, both devices should roll out by the end of June 2013.

LG Works On Nuclun 2 Chipset

Published

on

LG-logoLG has been rather quiet about developing its very own mobile chipset design for some time already, where the first Nuclun SoC will soon be followed up by – surprise, surprise, the Nuclun 2. This is not the first time that the Nuclun 2 name was brought up, and up till now, there has been no devices that were released with Nuclun 2 at its heart, although that might change with the upcoming V10 successor if rumors prove to be correct.

In other words, the LG V10’s successor will most probably be released some time in the second half of the coming year, which means it will be some time before it ends up as a shipping product. It also remains to be seen whether the Nuclun 3 will hit the streets in the near future, but as with most other cases, patience is definitely called for.

LG V10 Comes In Gold

Published

on

lg-v10-goldWell, well, what do we have here? Apparently, the recently announced LG V10 smartphone that is obviously one of the high end handsets from the South Korean manufacturer has arrived in a new shade of gold as well – which will definitely give it a far more premium look that what it would normally come in.

This is made possible thanks to the Vietnam-based company that is known as Karalux, where this particular handset has made its way to their portfolio while sporting a gold plating on the outside. According to Karalux, the entire process will take anywhere from three all the way to four non-stop working hours to complete. As the entire shell of the LG V10 happens to be made out of stainless steel, the gold-plating process is hence rather easy and quick – which is a good thing for those impatient magnates out there. The asking price for this process will be approximately $180 thereabouts – any takers?
