We do know that the two different kinds of networks in the US (CDMA and GSM) would also mean that there is no “one size fits all” solution when it comes to a smartphone release. Having said that, the Nokia Lumia 920 that was announced not too long ago has seen a new variant, although this particular diversion would be released thousands of miles away – in China, in fact. It does make perfect sense, considering how there were Chinese variants of the Lumia 800 in the past which came in the form of the 800C, and it did sell a fair number of units.
There were whispers on the ground that the Nokia Lumia 800C did quite well in China, so perhaps as Nokia’s last stand, they might want to release their current flagship, the Lumia 920 (where the Chinese variant would be known as the Lumia 920t, and hopefully it will do so well, that when the iPhone 5 rolls out there, there would be that much of an impact). What do you think of the effort for a China release of the Lumia 920t?
