If you remember the inPulse Smartwatch and you also remember liking the concept, Allerta (the company behind the inPulse) has come up with another new Smartwatch. It launched yesterday on Kickstarter. It is currently on sale for $99 in three different colors and the best part about is that it is officially the first Smartwatch to offer full compatibility with the iOS and Android smartphones. The device features 1.26-inch 144 x168 pixel black and white e-paper display with backlighting. Also included are Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, four buttons, a vibrating motor and a tri-axis accelerometer. According to Kickstarter, the battery will last more than 7 days on a single charge.

Pebble has the capability to receive calls, emails and messages from either iOS or Android devices over Bluetooth. Users will be able to download several types of the Pebble based apps such as watch faces, sports related watch apps and even a few apps to control music from your phone. All app installations are fairly simple via Bluetooth from your phone and apps are built using the Pebble SDK which has been released for further app development. The Pebble will run along with iOS or Android 2.3 and higher. The color choices for this nifty timepiece are white, black and red while a fourth color is being voted on by members of the community who have pledged money to the cause earlier on. For now, the price is $99 but is expected to be raised to $149 later in the year. If you want to have a closer look at the device and an informational video, click here to visit Kickstarter.
