Voice chat programs such as Skype and Ventrilo are popular choices by gamers as it allows communication within teams in coordinating attacks and raids and strategies. Well for those who don’t play a lot of computer games but game a lot on their mobile phones, the good news is that Verizon and Gameloft will be bringing a similar service to some of their games in the future, with the first being Ashphalt 6.
This in-game voice chat will be used over Verizon’s 4G LTE network, which we’re assuming is being used as it is a faster means of connecting to the internet which will help ensure smoother and lag free (relatively) communication during gameplay. At the moment it seems that this service can support up to 3 players at once which isn’t really a lot to begin with, but here’s hoping that Gameloft will be adding to that number when the service finally rolls out on a larger scale. In the mean time, check out the video below for an idea of what you should be able to expect in the future.
