Home > android > Philips unveils Android specific headsets

One of the “perks” of owning an iOS device is that you tend to be spoilt when it comes to accessories to choose from. These include iOS specific headsets, speakers, cases, etc. Well, good news for Android fans is that if you happened to have missed out on CES last week, Philips took the wraps off a series of headsets that are targeted towards Android users specifically.

What makes these headsets “Android friendly” is the app that accompanies it. Dubbed the Philips MyHeadset app, it supposedly will help make the sound better. It will also allow the user to control their music playback along with answering and the managing of phone calls. Four different models will be made available – three in-ear headsets and one over the ear headset for those who might prefer something less invasive. They are expected to be priced within the $30-$100 price range and are expected to start shipping come Spring 2012.
