ASUS’s Transformer Prime quad-core Android tablet appears to be a hit, but surprisingly only the WiFi-only version is available, which begs the question as to whether ASUS has plans for a 3G version of the Transformer Prime. Well, earlier rumors had suggested that the company would be releasing a 3G version of their quad-core powered tablet, but unfortunately it appears to be rumors and nothing more.
ASUS has since stepped forward and put a rest to the rumors of such a device, claiming that “no such product exists on its current roadmap”, which we guess is somewhat of a disappointment for those who wish to rely on more than just WiFi connectivity. However fret not as the company has also revealed that 3G versions of other high-end products within the Transformer family will be launched some time in the future as the company aims to expand their tablet PC lineup.
