We know that Verizon has plans to release two new Motorola tablets – the Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2. Apart from the difference in screen sizes, they’re both pretty much the same internally. By that we mean that you can expect either tablet to feature a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and front/rear cameras accompanying it.

The good news is that the Droid Xyboard 8.2 has recently passed through the FCC sporting Verizon’s 4G LTE radios, almost as if it passed through the FCC on time for a rumored 8th of December launch. So if you’re looking to get your hands on a smaller portable tablet with 4G LTE speeds, the Droid Xyboard 8.2 might be a tablet worth keeping an eye out for! Check back with us on the 8th of December for confirmation/debunking of the release date rumor.
