Sony Xperia Arc and Arco get PlayStation certification

If the features of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was not to your liking, the good news is that Sony Ericsson has announced that both the Japanese versions of the Xperia Arc and Xperia Arco will soon be receiving PlayStation certification through an official software update.

Basically what this certification does is that it will allow both the Xperia Arc and Xperia Arco to gain access to the PlayStation catalogue. This catalogue at the moment is only open to the Xperia Play and Sony’s Tablet S, and basically features PlayStation titles, such as the classic Crash Bandicoot, WipEout and Syphon Filter. Unfortunately there’s no word on when Sony Ericsson will be rolling out this certification to phones in Europe and the US, but let’s hope it will be soon!
