Sony Ericsson Xperia phones to get Android 4.0 update by March 2012

If you own any of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia smartphones, the good news is that come March of 2012, Xperia phones should be receiving the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update then. We know that Sony Ericsson has plans to update their Xperia line of phones to ICS 4.0, but at least now we have a date to look forward to.

For those who may have forgotten, the list of Xperia phones that will receive the update includes the Xperia arc and arc S, Xperia Play, Xperia neo and neo V, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, Xperia ray, and the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. We guess we have to appreciate that despite being rather late to the Android game, Sony Ericsson is making strides to push out updates to their devices.
