iPad users looking to increase their productivity have the iWork app for their tablets, but if the rumors are to be believed, it appears that Microsoft has a project in the works that would bring over Office onto the iPad as well. Microsoft Office is a popular choice in terms of productivity software even among Mac users, so it will not be surprising if Office on the iPad manages to take off in a big way as well.
No word on the extent of the capabilities of the Office app for iPad, but some are speculating it would come in at an affordable $10, which is the same price point Apple has used for the iWorks app on iPad. If so, iWorks on the iPad might be getting some serious competition from Microsoft.
