Shoppers for new smartphones on a budget will be pleased to know that T-Mobile has officially announced that both the LG myTouch and myTouch Q Android smartphones will be available come 2nd of November from T-Mobile’s website, and 9th of November from retail stores nationwide. Both devices have been advertised as being affordable and easy to use, although the latter remains debatable, but for $80 (after a $50 mail-in-rebate) on contract for two years, it definitely will appeal to those on a budget.
They both share some of the same hardware, in the sense that they will both run on a 1GHz processor, sport a 5MP camera and will come loaded up with Android’s Gingerbread 2.3. The difference between both devices is that the myTouch Q will sport a slideout QWERTY keyboard and a smaller display of 3.5”.
The LG myTouch on the other hand, will be a full touch screen phone without a slideout QWERTY keyboard, feature a larger display at 3.8” and will come with a front-facing camera as well.
