Interested in streaming your TV shows directly to your Android tablet? The good news is that if you currently own a Slingbox, Sling Media has announced the availability of the SlingPlayer, an app which basically lets you stream your home TV directly onto your Android device.
Users will also be able to browse content, change channels and control their DVRs directly from the app itself. Take note that this is a different application from the SlingPlayer app for Android smartphones, which will still work in “compatibility mode” for your tablet but will be unable to stream higher quality resolution videos. The SlingPlayer app for Android tablets running on Honeycomb or later is available for $29.99.
