As most of us already know, the CyanogenMod team has been busy trying to get Android ported over to the webOS-based HP TouchPad. So far there has been progress albeit a bit slower than expected, but then again we wouldn’t want a release that’s buggy, right? We also reported that another team by the name of TouchDroid apparently managed to get 10 point multitouch working on the HP TouchPad.
It was later discovered that TouchDroid had apparently used code from CM7 and claimed that the work was their own. Now it seems that the team has come forward and admitted that they did use CM7’s code, and it appears that due to that incident coming to light, the team has been disbanded.
By all accounts it looks like the CyanogenMod team will be the first out the door with their Android port on the HP TouchPad!
