CyanogenMod getting closer to porting Android onto the TouchPad

Yesterday we reported that Team-TouchDroid managed to get 10 point multitouch working on the HP TouchPad, but it looks like the CyanogenMod team may beat them to the punch. It seems that they got pretty much everything working on the TouchPad except for WiFi, which seems like a deal-breaker (a tablet that can’t go online, what’s the point?)

The team from CyanogenMod also claims that Team-TouchDroid stole the drivers they used from an earlier build of CyanogenMod. While we can’t verify the truth of that claim, all we know is that given the progress that they have achieved so far, HP TouchPad users should be able to expect a public build in the not too distant future.
