If you’ve been eyeing the LG Slate but thought it was too expensive, good news because it looks like the prices have been slashed. Originally being priced at $529.99 the price has now been brought down to $399.99, largely in thanks to a $200 mail-in rebate. If being tied to a contract is not your thing or you have other plans for the device, the straight-up off-contract price drops from $699.99 down to $599.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate, putting it on par with the Motorola Xoom WiFi only version.
Specs wise what makes the LG Slate so special would be the two rear facing cameras that allow for 3D stereoscopic vidoes along with 1080p HD video. The rest of the tablet’s specs are:
- Android 3.0 Honeycomb
- 8.9-inch display
- 720p video playback on device
- 4G HSPA+ connectivity
- Wi-Fi
- 3D support
- HDMI output that supports 1080p video
- 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip
If that sounds tempting then just head on down to T-Mobile’s website for more information on how to get your hands on this device.
