Only a day after iOS 5 was announced and the beta was made available to developers was it jailbroken by Musclenerd and Co. Granted it was only the beta but it was still good news for those with jailbroken devices and required a jailbroken iOS 5 in order to update their iOS devices.
The bad news is that while Apple has yet to fix the tethered version of the iOS jailbreak, they did take some swift action into securing the untethered version of the iOS jailbreak, as reported i0n1c. Not a total loss as there is still the tethered jailbreak still out there but we can only assume that by the time the final iOS 5 is rolled out these exploit holes should be closed up, but when there’s a will, there’s a way.
