Sony Ericsson has leaked one of its very own devices which reminds us of the Arc from the Xperia lineage. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread running smartphone dubbed the Xperia Acro was spotted amongst a series of its new phones displayed in its Sony Ericsson PC Companion software tool that ships with its new smartphone releases. Acro might well be the mini version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc given the amount of similarities between the two offerings. Other than the Gingerbread incorporation, Acro also gets NFC capability for use with Japan’s FeliCa NFC payment system,a TV-tuner for Japan’s digital over-the-air 1Seg standard, and an infrared port. The rest of the features are the same as the Xperia Arc. The Acro will first break cover in Japan, but we still do not have a clue about its arrival in the US, as of now.
