Rightware has just announced that at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, they will be showing off the world’s first stereoscopic 3D homescreen replacement for Android. The stereoscopic 3D homescreen is based on Kanzi UI solution, a 3D user interface technology they developed that can easily run complex 3D content on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. At MWC 2011, Rightware will be displaying their stereoscopic 3D Android homescreen. You can head over to their website to check out videos and demos of this interface in action. Pretty impressive stuff, but beyond being eye candy, it doesn’t seem to offer anything else. I guess we’ll see when MWC rolls around in a couple of weeks.
