We recently heard rumors of T-Mobile’s popular Sidekick phone making a comeback and now T-Mobile USA’s new CEO, Phillip Humm, has confirmed the rumor at an event. He mentioned that the carrier would be announcing a 4G version of Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphone pretty soon, along with a 4G version of the Sidekick that will be powered by Google’s Android. The 4G version of the Galaxy S that he was referring to is most likely the Vibrant 4G while the Android-powered Sidekick is something that we’ll be definitely looking forward to. With Mobile World Congress 2011 just around the corner, it’s probably worth a guess that the phone will be unveiled there. On an unrelated note, he also mentioned that the carrier will not be offering the iPhone in the near future, as the device is incompatible with its AWS 3G network.
