The folks over at Android Central managed to get their hands on some images showing off the minimum prices of the Motorola Xoom and the HTC Thunderbolt that are arriving on Verizon’s network. The HTC Thunderbolt (4G LTE Android smartphone) will be priced at $249.99 (assumed to be with a 2-year contract) while the Motorola Xoom (Android tablet) will be priced at $799.99 (assumed to be off-contract). The devices seem quite pricey when compared to the current offering of smartphones and tablets, but like most new technology – prices always start out high before they get lowered. In this case, we have the first ever 4G LTE Android phone and the first dual-core Tegra 2 Honeycomb tablet. But let’s hope that these aren’t the final prices or that the prices get shifted to a lower price before they are launched. What do you think of the prices of the Android devices? Are you less keen on purchasing them now?
