If you happen to live in the cosmopolitan city of London, then chances are pretty good you might have stumbled upon this unique campaign that asks you to report on faulty traffic light alerts through the use of sending SMS to the local authorities. How about option ‘e’ for ‘Everything is working just fine’? Perhaps other cities might want to take up such a similar outlook when it comes to making sure all the traffic lights run fine and dandy while minimizing costs – i.e. letting the public do the ‘dirty’ work. That’s the power of social networking having seeped through mainstream consciousness, where reporting a fault is just an SMS away.
