
Did you ever stop to wonder why the text messages you send are limited to 160 characters per message? Did you think that it was just some carrier-imposed restriction to milk more money out of us consumers? Well, there is actually quite a bit of history related to it, and it’s all thanks to a man called Friedhelm Hillebrand who lived in Germany.
