Nokia Ovi Store To Work With Carriers?

Folks over at the Forum Nokia Code Camp in Jakarta got a nice little nugget of information that they probably weren’t expecting, and that’s details on the launch of Nokia’s Ovi Store. Apparently Nokia will be launching the store with carriers in countries such as the UK, Italy, Singapore, Germany, Australia, Spain, the USA, Russia and Ireland. If you were to purchase applications from the store in those countries, it will be billed to your cell phone subscription bill, strongly hinting that Nokia will have some sort of revenue sharing model with carriers. It would certainly be much easier for users to purchase apps this way, as they won’t have to go through the hassle of paying by credit card. It certainly seems like a smart move by Nokia.
