Android Tethering Apps Pulled From Market

It looks like there is some bad news for folks who like to tether their T-Mobile G1 to their laptops. Google has reportedly pulled the tethering apps from the Android Market. The reason behind this is supposedly because Google has agreements with carriers and T-Mobile’s terms of service do not allow tethering. One of the questions that folks ask of this move is what happens to folks who own an unlocked version of the G1, and might be on another carrier, especially if another carrier allows tethering? It would certainly be unfair to the user to be deprived of such a useful function, just because another carrier doesn’t agree with it.
