Will the solution to Curse of Silence released recently, it looks like a new vulnerability in the world of cell phones has been discovered, and this time it’s for owners of Sony Ericsson devices. Based on reports (and the video here), a specially crafted WAP Push message sent via SMS can instantly restart your device. This affects a good portion of Sony Ericsson’s phones and if the person who’s trying to irritate you were to take it a step further, he could send a bunch of those messages, so the moment your phone turns on again, it will receive the next message, and would restart again. This certainly doesn’t sound like too much fun (unless you’re playing a prank on your friend, which you really shouldn’t), so hopefully there will be a solution to this soon.
