Marvell 1GHz Processor

Those of you who aren’t too fond of Qualcomm will be dancing at the news that Marvell has just announced a 1GHz PXA168 processor for mobile devices. With this release, one can be sure the folks at Qualcomm will try to perform better. More competition usually brings a better product to the end user, and let's hope that in the long run, this will be the case. This would be a much appreciated addition on any future handsets for power users. Imagine what your phone will be like with 1GHz processor, faster OS response, much improved browsing experience, increase in flash support. The possibilities seem endless, and not only for mobile phones, but also for portable media players and netbooks. Hopefully we’ll be able to see devices powered by this processor sooner rather than later.
