HTC Touch HD Hotfix Fix

The new software update for the HTC Touch HD that was released on Wednesday was supposed to make an improvement on the on-screen slider feature for answering calls, but the Hot Fix has actually caused another problem. After the installation of the software update, the phone dialer has a strange layer “Call Hi…” (which could possible stand for “Call History”) on top of the video call button and video calls could not be made without access to the button.

In order to fix the problem, you can’t simply uninstall the hot fix as it will not revert back to your old system files. Xda-developers have created a simple solution which allows you to undo the hot fix and get back the old system files. While it will sort out this new problem, you’ll have to face the initial problem that the hotfix was supposed to address again.
