Sim Card GPS Receiver

Here’s an interesting innovation, German smartcard maker Sagem Orga has announced that it will be working with BlueSky Positioning to integrate an A-GPS receiver onto your standard SIM card. If this were to be achieved and marketed well, we might be looking at all our future phones having GPS as standard, and to make the GPS even more accurate, the SIM uses assisted GPS data. This would be really handy if you need to make emergency calls as you would be able to provide accurate information as to your whereabouts. Hopefully this won’t cost us an arm and a leg, though.
