Story posted on: November 28, 2008. Filed in: apple.

It was bound to happen sometime, though you’ll have to admit that it look a lot longer than expected. The iPhone Dev Team member, planetbeing, has managed to reverse the Apple’s hardware drivers and now Linux is available on the iPhone and first-gen iPods. There are still quite a few problems, with it, which is normal, seeing that is still raw, but it’s a big step for the hacking community, and it’ll be interesting to see where this will go.
